High School's Biggest Flaw

One of the biggest struggles about being in high school and being a teenager is that people are always going to judge you. People judge you on anything and everything you do: what you wear, what you look like, how you act. And unfortunately because of how many times people get judged, stereotypes are created, and it's really difficult to break those stereotypes.

Because of stereotypes, social statuses are made. The sad truth about social statuses is that no matter how hard you try to break them, they will never be broken. Never. And that's just a fact.

Here are the top three social statuses that I personally have observed.

1. The "populars"
Consists of the skinny, gorgeous, girls who like to get drunk and party. There's also jocks, like the football and basketball stars. There's also the skaters. These people are the ones that either everyone hates, or the ones that everyone wants to be. I have mixed opinions about some of these people. Some of them are totally great and I am good friends with them, but others are complete airheads and don't care about anything but looks.

The Plastics from Mean Girls.... sorry it's blurry

2. The "in-betweeners"
Most of the time, this groups consists of the athletes. Not necesarilly the ones who are known as jocks, but the ones who are known for athleticism (yes, they are two different things). There's also just the people who like to watch from the sidelines, but when they feel like it they can jump into a conversation and be accepted. These people are usually just pleasant to be around and

3. The "nerds"
This group of kids' personalities are usually underestimated, just because of the fact that they put school before anything else and always try their hardest and ask questions when they are confused. It totally sucks how people judge them and I hate it!

Because of the constant need of human nature to create a social ladder, no matter what you do, there is always going to be some form of a hierarchy. My theory is that as long as you have at least 3 people in a group, there is going to be a leader, the follow, and the one who no one really wants there (well, you might want them there, but if you had to kick someone out, that's who it would be).

So there you go. My view on the biggest flaw in high school: judgement.
